In the above plot, the percentage denotes how strong is the Jinn companion's hold of the individual. As mentioned elsewhere on this site, the test is about a power struggle. Satan wants to bind us in slavery using a thing or a person, when we accept his polytheistic view that the thing or person has inherent power to gratify us, we fall in our companion's control.
This phenomena is best noticed in the people, after drinking alcohol or abusing drugs, they show a change in personality! why? because it's a separate entity that took the chance and jumped infront of the steering wheel.
One of the main desires Satan uses to bind us in slavery (and distract us from God) is women (or men). There is nothing wrong about a natural healthy attraction to the opposite sex, as it is God's deliberate design.
[3:14] Adorned for the people are the worldly pleasures, such as the women, having children, piles upon piles of gold and silver, trained horses, livestock, and crops. These are the materials of this world. A far better abode is reserved at GOD.
Why did God create such a desire?
[42:11] Initiator of the heavens and the earth. He created for you from among yourselves spouses - and also for the animals. He thus provides you with the means to multiply. There is nothing that equals Him. He is the Hearer, the Seer.
[2:223] Your women are the bearers of your seed. Thus, you may enjoy this privilege however you like, so long as you maintain righteousness. You shall observe GOD, and know that you will meet Him. Give good news to the believers.
[30:21] Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts love and care towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who think.
God could have created us without any needs, no need for food, no need for spouse, no need for work..etc. He could have provided us with everything directly. However the test is all about appreciation, 1- we seek God's provisions, 2- God sends the provisions, 3- We thank Him alone and be appreciative.
We go to work, not because God wants us to work, but to test our appreciation of the job He made avaialable and the money He grants us through it. As wise, we get married to seek the tranquility, contentment and as a means to multiply. Imagine someone who is living by himself, the next day he becomes two personsthrough marriage!, the year after he becomes four!! God be glorified, isn't it a miracle that his number was multiplied out of nothing, wouldn't such a person be appreciative and feel indebted to the Creator of it all.
[34:37] It is not your money or your children that bring you closer to us. Only those who believe and lead a righteous life will receive the reward for their works, multiplied manifold. In the abode of Paradise they will live in perfect peace.
As you can see, the sexual gratification is but a byproduct, an incentive God designed to encourage us get married, and to strengthen this bond between the man and woman. However it is not the main goal of marriage, since it doesn't last long.
What lasts is the contentment, the tranquility, the love and care, the children, the crop God grants the married couple, and above all the feeling of appreciation towards God. These are the meanings behind marriage.
What Satan does to distract us from the meaning is to stress on the byproducts. For example, he stresses on the taste of food, the looks of a woman, the title of a job..etc. Thus he strips us of the real meaning, and pushes us into the deep pits of the illusion.
Naturally these things cannot satisfy anybody, since the meaning is lost. When we skip the meaning to something else, God provides but holds the real pleasure.
Only the believers can see the meaning, and thus enjoy life:
[7:32] Say, "Who prohibited the nice things GOD has created for His creatures, and the good provisions?" Say, "Such provisions are to be enjoyed in this life by those who believe. Moreover, the good provisions will be exclusively theirs on the Day of Resurrection." We thus explain the revelations for people who know.
As for the disbelievers, they live and die like animals, they can't see or feel the "unseen meaning":
[47:12] GOD admits those who believe and lead a righteous life into gardens with flowing streams. As for those who disbelieve, they live and eat like the animals eat, then end up in the hellfire.
All they can see is "the visible":
[30:7] They care only about things of this world that are visible to them, while being totally oblivious to the Hereafter.
Their works are like a mirage, can not grant them any satisfaction, and that's why they self indulge in a desperate attempt to satisfy their soul's need for God's meaning:
[24:39] As for those who disbelieve, their works are like a mirage in the desert. A thirsty person thinks that it is water. But when he reaches it, he finds that it is nothing, and he finds GOD there instead, to requite him fully for his works. GOD is the most efficient reckoner.
Like a drug addict, a pornography addict, or a sex addict, they keep revolving in a never ending spiral of despair, misery, guilt with no real satisfaction.
[13:14] Imploring Him is the only legitimate supplication, while the idols they implore beside Him, cannot ever respond. Thus, they are like those who stretch their hands to the water, but nothing reaches their mouths. The supplications of the disbelievers are in vain.
Now what makes someone enter such a vicious cycle in the first place?
1-Exactly like Satan tempted Adam and his wife to eat from the forbidden tree, he is doing this trick day and night through his Jinn agents.
The devil's lie:
[20:120] But the devil whispered to him, saying, "O Adam, let me show you the tree of eternity and unending kingship."
What's wrong with this promise is relating the power to the tree instead of its Creator. An addict believe Satan's whisper that the drug, woman, picture, movie will grant him satisfaction and gratification, next he finds himself self indulging in his addiction, why? because the creature itself cannot give us any real satisfaction without God's authorization, and because of this lack of lasting satisfaction from the object of addiction or obsession, the addict keeps coming for more, yet with no gain except misery and guilt.
As for the believers they are certain that only God can grant them the real thing, and therefore they follow His system (e.g: marriage) and ask Him alone for provisions.
2- Satan has a bag of tricks to dupe us, one of the main tricks is "Fear", many addicts say that they have to self indulge because they are afraid they cannot afford marriage. This excuse only reveal their doubts about God, He created us, He knows our needs, and once we trust Him enough and make a decision to seek His provision through the righteous channels, everything will fall in place and He will provide for us as per His promise:
[24:32] You shall encourage those of you who are single to get married. They may marry the righteous among your male and female servants, if they are poor. GOD will enrich them from His grace. GOD is Bounteous, Knower.
Which leads us to a surprising conclusion, the people who claim they are poor and that's why they have to commit adultery (or pornography) are deliberately deprived from God's provisions (money, spouse) because of their doubts!
[42:26] Responding to Him are those who believe and lead a righteous life. He will shower them with His blessings. As for the disbelievers, they have incurred a severe retribution.
[42:27] If GOD increased the provision for His servants, they would transgress on earth. This is why He sends it precisely measured to whomever He wills. He is fully Cognizant and Seer of His servants.
[42:28]
He is the One who sends down the rain after
they had despaired, and spreads His mercy. He is the only Master, Most
Praiseworthy.
Note
that the money, food, spouse, job or any of God's provisions does not
come in abundance except if we have reached a level of certainty and
devotion to God, and denounced any claims of Satan that the creatures
themselves can satisfy us.
Ofcourse that doesn't mean all rich people are righteous! many of them
are given the vast wealth only to lead them on and confirm their
transgression so that they may incur their just requital.
3-
Satan may also create illusions and lies to instill fear and
prevent us from following God's system, for example he may convince us
that we cannot get married, because of some defect in the body, looks,
family, class or whatever a flimsy excuse he uses to divert us from
God's system into his own system of despair and misery.
[3:175] It is the devil's system to instill fear into his subjects. Do not fear them and fear Me instead, if you are believers.
4-
He may also push us to the extreme of idolizing women, as if they are
untouchable perfect statues, he magnifies this idea through the movie
stars and models..etc who behave so arrogantly that many think they
can't be human!.
Many people fall ino this deception and idolize women (or men) creating
an invisible barrier between them and these "perfect" creatures.
In truth nobody is perfect and we are all 100 % dependent on God, thus
we should recognize the people's weaknesses and need for God, otherwise
we will surely idolize them, like all the saints and prophets who were
worshipped because of this "perfect infallible creature" myth.
No healthy relationship can be built on reverence of a human being, nor
fear or idolatery. Only equals can sincerely love each other.
The
wife of the governer of Egypt, idolized Joseph and was totally obsessed
with him! why? because of relating his looks to him and not to God.
[12:20] Some women in the city gossiped: "The governor's wife is trying to seduce her servant. She is deeply in love with him. We see that she has gone astray."
[12:31] When she heard of their gossip, she invited them, prepared for them a comfortable place, and gave each of them a knife. She then said to him, "Enter their room." When they saw him, they so admired him, that they cut their hands. They said,"Glory be to GOD, this is not a human being; this is an honorable angel."
[12:32] She said, "This is the one you blamed me for falling in love with. I did indeed try to seduce him, and he refused. Unless he does what I command him to do, he will surely go to prison, and will be debased."
Note how the women idolized his beauty (and failed to relate it to God), and how they got their punishment immediately and cut their hands!
What intensifies this idolization of both sexes to the other sex is the corrupt practices in our modern socities. Some societies prohibit any healthy mixing between the men and women, naturally the fantasies build up in the minds and draw an image of a perfect creature out of mere mortals!.
On the other hand pornography (which has reached every house) as well as the celebrity cult, promote this perfect image of women (or men) in the minds of the innocent.
Thus Satan is pushing us with all his might into this pit of idolizing women and thus failing to establish any healthy relationship with the opposite sex.
5- Satan may pull us in the other direction of degrading women (or men), through a continous promotion of women as only bodies and looks, no mention of the soul, principles or values.
Beauty competitions, movie stars, and also pornography contribute to this degradation of women into lifeless objects.
The societies that allow over mixing between men and women fall to this trick of Satan, and like a dog eating a bone, the adulterer keeps indulging with no limits and no satisfaction at all.
No satisfaction of the soul = More indulgence
When there is an extreme surrender to Satan, the individual gives in to his Jinn companion. The Jinn companion jumps to the chance and start manipulating his victim to self indulge, because the more the human indulges, the more control the Jinn get, and the ultimate gratification for the Jinn is to totally control his victim against God's design which entails that the Jinn (Satan) serves the Human being (Adam). Then the Jinn begins implementing the agenda of distorting God's design.
[4:119] "I will mislead them, I will entice them, I will command them to (forbid the eating of certain meats by) marking the ears of livestock, and I will command them to distort the creation of GOD." Anyone who accepts the devil as a lord, instead of GOD, has incurred a profound loss.
The ultimate goal of satan and his Jinn agents is to introduce their own laws and systems instead of God's, that's why the homosexuals commit this gross sin, they are controlled by their Jinn companions to the extent of losing touch with their Human part, and thus they become attracted to the same sex against God's design.
6- Finally the final excuse to let us commit adultery is : " we have to try the relationship first before marriage, maybe it won't work out! "
Nothing but doubts in God's absolute authority that brought us here on earth. The above statment demonstartes the doubts of that individual. If God created him, He must know his needs. If one chooses a spouse that has the same belief "that none can harm or benefit except God alone", he should "put his trust in God" and marry her, the doubts are from Satan.
[2:221] Do not marry idolatresses unless they believe; a believing woman is better than an idolatress, even if you like her. Nor shall you give your daughters in marriage to idolatrous men, unless they believe. A believing man is better than an idolater, even if you like him. These invite to Hell, while GOD invites to Paradise and forgiveness, as He wills. He clarifies His revelations for the people, that they may take heed.
[33:3] And put your trust in GOD. GOD suffices as an advocate.
Conclusion:
If we don't control our desires, we will be controlled. And if we become controlled we will lose happiness now and forever in the spiritual and physical sense. By following God's legal channel of marriage, we are denouncing the devil and proclaiming that we believe in God alone.There is no god except He.
[19:59] After them, He substituted generations who lost the Contact Prayers (Salat), and pursued their lusts. They will suffer the consequences.
[79:40] As for the one who reverenced the majesty of his Lord, and enjoined the self from sinful lusts.
[79:41] Paradise will be the abode.
Subdue your eyes:
[24:30] Tell the believing men that they shall subdue their eyes (and not stare at the women), and to maintain their chastity. This is purer for them. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything they do.
[24:31] And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, other women, the male servants or employees whose sexual drive has been nullified, or the children who have not reached puberty. They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to GOD, O you believers, that you may succeed.
Adultery is forbidden:
[70:27] They reverence their Lord's requital.
[70:28] Their Lord's requital is not taken for granted.
[70:29] They keep their chastity.
[70:30] (They have relations) only with their spouses, or what is legally theirs -
[70:31] anyone who transgresses these limits is a sinner.
--------------------------------[17:32] You shall not commit adultery; it is a gross sin, and an evil behavior.
Submit to God's design and legal systems:
[2:208] O you who believe, you shall embrace total submission; do not follow the steps of Satan, for he is your most ardent enemy.
