Wisdom from Quran


1-Coincidence :



[51:20] The earth is full of signs for those who are certain.
[51:21]  And within yourselves; can you see?




Are there really any coincidences ? does anything happen by chance ?

Satan promotes that there is no god, that everything happens randomly and by coincidence. For example he says that the Human being and even the whole universe were created by a natural random happening!, that all these complex creatures have evolved as a result of circumstances and by "Nature" !?

If we just ponder at any aspect of this world, we can easily recognize (If we are sincere) that there is a superhuman entity behind it. Language, is just an example of the wide variety, yet effectivness of it as a means of communication. Start watching carefully your daily life events, and ask God to bless you with clarity, gradually you may see the overall picture, but remember that its always good, inspite of however bad it seems. How many times a passenger missed his plane and started complaining at his misfortune to wake up the next day on the news of the plane crash!

[2:216] Fighting may be imposed on you, even though you dislike it. But you may dislike something which is good for you, and you may like something which is bad for you. GOD knows while you do not know.


The fact is that God knows better than us, submission to His will entails that we do our best (In total dependence on Him), and then accept whatever happens, because it is the best thing that would have happened, if we only know!

Conclusion :

Nothing bad happens, because God is in full control. What we percieve as bad (with our limited minds) is to serve as a wake up call (which is good!) to make us correct our wrongdoings, thus whatever disasters we face, even minor ones are the direct consequence of our own work ! God is talking to you personally and sending you alot of signs each day, would you stop and listen ?

Its all from God (No coincidences):

[4:78] Wherever you are, death will catch up with you, even if you live in formidable castles. When something good happens to them, they say, "This is from GOD," and when something bad afflicts them, they blame you. Say, "Everything comes from GOD." Why do these people misunderstand almost everything?

Yet, the bad things are because of you ! :

[4:79] Anything good that happens to you is from GOD, and anything bad that happens to you is from you. We have sent you as a messenger to the people, and GOD suffices as witness.


watch out, the next time a disaster hits, there is a message behind it and only you can understand it !


[7:168] We scattered them among many communities throughout the land. Some of them were righteous, and some were less than righteous. We tested them with prosperity and hardship, that they may return.

As you may have noticed in the above verse tests are not limited to bad things, do not be like the people who implore God for help when they face hardship, and as soon as He relieves it, they go back transgressing again!

[10:22] He is the One who moves you across the land and sea. You get onto the ships, and they sail smoothly in a nice breeze. Then, while rejoicing therein, violent wind blows, and the waves surround them from every side. This is when they implore GOD, sincerely devoting their prayers to Him alone: "If You only save us this time, we will be eternally appreciative."
[10:23] But as soon as He saves them, they transgress on earth, and oppose the truth. O people, your transgression is only to the detriment of your own souls. You remain preoccupied with this worldly life, then to us is your ultimate return, then we inform you of everything you had done.

Know that God is Merciful, He forgives alot of minor transgressions, BUT if you persist knowingly, He punishes, and when He punishes, His punishment is severe, you may have tasted some of it already as a result of a transgression or center-shift (to money, lust..etc):

[42:30] Anything bad that happens to you is a consequence of your own deeds, and He overlooks many (of your sins).


[3:3] He sent down to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming all previous scriptures, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.
[3:4] before that, to guide the people, and He sent down the statute book. Those who disbelieve in GOD's revelations incur severe retribution. GOD is Almighty, Avenger.


And before all that, do you believe in God's message in Quran ? If not then don't blame except yourself for the retribution that is awaiting you, you have been just warned.


The system of God entails that those who accept the reminders of God (Torah, Bible and finally Quran) and lead a righteous life based on His message, are automatically admitted into God's mercy where there is perfect health, wealth and happiness. As for those who choose Satan as their lord (by accepting his polytheistic idea that visible life elements like things, e.g: money and people, e.g: spouse, could give you security and satisfaction instead of God who created them out of nothing!) they are cast out of God's mercy and thus incur all kinds of imbalance, for example their bodies are disturbed because the body is submitting to God while the human soul is submitting to its Jinn companion (thus Satan),  distorting the balance and causing disease. Other forms of disastres would be minor accidents, bad happenings and natural disasters. Remember always that there is a message from God that comes with them, ask God for guidance and He will turn you a seer, when you begin to SEE what's really happening, you must act accordingly and correct yourself by remembering God, only then God may alleviate His punishment and its consequences if He accepts your repentance and reform.

There is a Superhuman entity, God, communicating with you on daily basis through things and people, start from now thinking about the good points behind every happening, this is one of the main ways to get closer to God.


[2:186] When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their prayers when they pray to Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe in Me, in order to be guided.


2- Case Study : Job, a servant of God :

Job was a servant of God who had been afflicted with hardship and disease, everyone of us has experienced hardship and disease, yet we can learn from Job's story a very important lesson, that nothing happens by chance, that everything happens for a reason, a very good one.

There could be three human responses to hardship, disaster and disease :

1- An always complaining human being (controlled by his Jinn companion) would curse life, say that its unfair and become despondent.

[22:11] Among the people there is the one who worships GOD conditionally. If things go his way, he is content. But if some adversity befalls him, he makes an about-face. Thus, he loses both this life and the Hereafter. Such is the real loss.

[89:15] When the human being is tested by his Lord, through blessings and joy, he says, "My Lord is generous towards me."
[89:16] But if He tests him through reduction in provisions, he says, "My Lord is humiliating me!"


2- The other extreme is a human being who is apathetic (also controlled), good times and bad times don't affect his relation with God, he has already depended on other things and people. He is like the complaining person can't see the messages because his initial decision was to disregard God and His revelations, therefore whatever happens, it doesn't help him in developing his soul.

[7:176] Had we willed, we could have elevated him therewith, but he insisted on sticking to the ground, and pursued his own opinions. Thus, he is like the dog; whether you pet him or scold him, he pants. Such is the example of people who reject our proofs. Narrate these narrations, that they may reflect.


Apathy is strongly condemned in Quran, because it means the failure to respond to God's messages whether those that come through daily events, or through scriptures and messengers. It means leaving the exam paper blank because of undecisivness!

[4:97] Those whose lives are terminated by the angels, while in a state of wronging their souls, the angels will ask them, "What was the matter with you?" They will say, "We were oppressed on earth." They will say, "Was GOD's earth not spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?" For these, the final abode is Hell, and a miserable destiny.


This evil condition is clearly illustrated in this verse:

[34:19] But they (turned unappreciative and) challenged: "Our Lord, we do not care if You increase the distance of our journeys (without any stations)." They thus wronged their own souls. Consequently, we made them history, and scattered them into small communities throughout the land. This should provide lessons for those who are steadfast, appreciative.

In the first verse [7:176] above, God gives the example of a dog, whether you pet him or scold him, he doesn't change his attitude, as wise the wicked active transgressors and the apathetic ones are blind, they choose not to see God's messages and signs, thus they turn unappreciative of God's blessings as in the third verse above [34:19], the other face of the same coin is failing to understand the reason behind a disaster hitting near you or befalling you directly, its just a message for you if you have eyes that can see, to balance and control yourself, refrain from transgressions and denounce the devil's control of you.

[30:41] Disasters have spread throughout the land and sea, because of what the people have committed. He thus lets them taste the consequences of some of their works, that they may return (to the right works).


This brings us back to Job :

[2:186] When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their prayers when they pray to Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe in Me, in order to be guided.

Job is a good example that God has set for us, from his story we can learn how God wants us to respond to Him. Job was afflicted with suffering, pain and disease, his response wasn't like those explained above, his response was righteous and the most efficient ,

1- Job remembered God immediatly and started to implore Him alone for help, Job knew that God has the ultimate control, he knew that nothing ( a medicine ) nor a person (a doctor) can help him unless God allows them to do so in accordance with His judgment.

[21:83] And Job implored his Lord: "Adversity has befallen me, and, of all the merciful ones, You are the Most Merciful."

[21:84] We responded to him, relieved his adversity, and restored his family for him, even twice as much. That was a mercy from us, and a reminder for the worshipers.


2- Job correctly recognized the real source of his suffering, it wasn't God, it was none but Satan, the accursed who hates the human being out of jealousy (see Satan), and wants him to suffer.

[38:41] Remember our servant Job: he called upon his Lord, "The devil has afflicted me with hardship and pain."

Job knew that Satan and his Jinn descendants are allowed to afflict the human beings with pain and suffering, not the righteous humans, they can only harm those who follow their command by forgetting God and substituting him with other idols (things and people) to depend and rely on instead of God, the Possesor of all power.

 By Identifying your enemy, you can break free of his control, evil thoughts are not from you but they are initiated by the devils, our egos are weak enough to obey them, that's why we are here!, its our final chance to denounce the devil, seek refuge in God from him, and most importantly Disobey his whispers which always lead us to enslavment and physical/psychological suffering, denounce the devil, kill your ego, seek refuge in God and be strict in saying NO to your weak self when it becomes obsessed with things and people, and when this starts affecting your choices and daily decisions in favor of its idols.

Remembering God always, being appreciative and seeking help in time of adversity from God alone are the only means to regain your control, balance and redemption.

The following verse occurs immediately after Job implored God to help him against the devil.

[38:42] "Strike the ground with your foot. A spring will give you healing and a drink."

Immediately God inspired Job with the correct solution to his problem, this is not a miracle, it happens everyday with the righteous, who turn to God, not only in times of adversity by imploring Him for help, but also by being appreciative of His blessings, and constantly thanking Him alone for them.

Not only did God alleviate the affliction but the MostGracious also granted him more blessings !

[38:43] We restored his family for him; twice as many. Such is our mercy; a reminder for those who possess intelligence.

Job on seeing all this awesome mercy and blessings from His Lord pledged that he will invite the people to God. Job was a steadfast believer, he knew these three things:

1- Satan is the only source of misery.

[72:6] " `Human beings used to seek power through jinn beings, but they only afflicted them with a lot of adversity.

2- God, is the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious who has decreed that Mercy is His attribute.

[6:54] When those who believe in our revelations come to you, you shall say, "Salãmun `Alaykum (Peace be upon you). Your Lord has decreed that mercy is His attribute. Thus, anyone among you who commits a transgression out of ignorance, and repents thereafter and reforms, then He is Forgiving, Most Merciful."

3- God, is in absolute control, no harm or benefit can come except if He so willed.

The following three things helped Job steadfastly endure the adversity, not passively, but actively through:

1- Remebering God, turning to Him alone. He didn't insist on his transgressions knowingly, when God punished him with disease, he immediately remembered Him and asked for forgivness.

[3:135] If they fall in sin or wrong their souls, they remember GOD and ask forgiveness for their sins - and who forgives the sins except GOD - and they do not persist in sins, knowingly.

2- Seeking refuge in God from the rejected Satan, the real cause of trouble.

[23:97] Say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils.
[23:98] "And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me."

3- Making a firm decision to correct himself, say no to the devils, control and enjoin the self from sinful lusts.

[79:40] As for the one who reverenced the majesty of his Lord, and enjoined the self from sinful lusts.

[79:41] Paradise will be the abode.



You can redeem yourself now, there is a chance every passing minute to denounce the devil, refrain from transgressions (motivated by obsessions, addictions and unjustifiable fear and hate), and practically proclaiming that there is no god except God, and that He alone can harm or benefit you. Thus when you turn appreciative and thank God for His blessings, and in times of adversity seek help from Him alone, everything will start working for you again, you will be readmitted into God's mercy and the adversity will be alleviated by God's inspiring you of a way out like He inspired Job and moreover you will be showered with perfect happiness now and forever. All of this because you took heed, read the messages of your Creator (imbeded in daily events), cleaned up your act, and turned completely to God after severing all ties and dependence on the illusion of the visible life elements (things and people).


[8:53] GOD does not change a blessing He has bestowed upon any people unless they themselves decide to change. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

[22:15] If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his Creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone/anything else).
He will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him.



Without Limits

[39:10] Say, "O My servants who believed, you shall reverence your Lord." For those who worked righteousness in this world, a good reward. GOD's earth is spacious, and those who steadfastly persevere will receive their recompense generously, without limits.
